Boogie Woogie 2008 was a great success! and an article was covered in Apna Asia Jan-Feb 09 issue which read like this..........
"In the midst of all the busy holiday schedules and children of our community looking forward to show their tons of talent, came along for the first time, an audition for the Boogie Woogie chalo America on Saturday November 22,2008 at the Tamarac Community Center. The gathering was hosted by Nrityanjali International Arts, this is where many children and few adults go to polish their dancing talent.
It was bollywood come alive experience for many of the members of our community and certainly we are all very thankful that one of our girls might have a shot to appear in National contest of Boogie eventually. The contest was divided in two parts, one for the children group and the other for adult group. It was not known immediately but the competition for the adults were held twice. They were judged by two distinguished and accomplished dancers who now live in our community in Florida. The winner for the Senior group was Aniva Zaman and the winner for the Junior group was Geethu James. Needless to say, some of the children performing very well, we spoke to, were excited and thankful that Boogie Woogie came to South Florida. We hope this becomes an annual event and becomes more successfull next year. Congratulations to all participants, the emcee, and to community at large........."
